I came to get down.

In Jump Around by House of Pain the rapper exclaims “I got more rhymes than the bible got psalms”. That would mean that he had in excess of 150 rhymes. Or if he was referring to the Greek Orthodox bible then 151. In the unlikely event that he was referring to one of the Syrian Christian bibles then it is possible that he might have meant to imply he had as many as 157 rhymes or more. The latter is unlikely since the rapper, Erik Francis Schrody, was raised Catholic.

Platell, Mellor, ungodly mix-up.

I have just realised that I have spent the last five years suffering from a terrible mix-up. For some weird reason I have been thinking that Amanda Platell, right wing hatemonger-for-hire, was Antonia de Sancha, famous(ish) for having sex with David Mellor back in the dawn of pre-history. Now, while I have no particular respect or admiration for Platell, I was prepared to admit that she had rehabilitated her career pretty successfully after the toe-sucking allegations. I even went to her Wikipedia page to check it out and began to suspect some apologist (or even herself) had edited out that bit of history! Turns out she was an entirely different person.

Horror Movie.

In about a year, according to Brooks, some news is going to come out that will make the current revelations sound like a bit of mere tittle-tattle. It reminds me of Game of Thrones. We know there is something behind the wall. Something big, something scary, that’s going to change everything forever. But what’s it going to be? I’ve heard it relates to Stakeknife, but really, speculation is idle, we must just wait and see.
